Bridge competition is held according to the rules of a duplicate bridge and according to the Competition Regulations. Competitors use the deck of 52 cards with the same backs - 13 cards of each of the 4 suits.. The cards rank in descending order: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Cards are dealt face down, one at a time, into four hands, so that two adjacent cards from the deck did not hit one hand. All deck substitutions and shuffling are performed live, and there are 4 sides in the game.
The goal for the player is to predict which of the pair of bridge players will get the higher card by placing bets on the cell corresponding to the table sector (West, South, North, East).
